The demand for jobs in USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and many of the European Union Shengen countries is increasing at a rate well beyond the supply of jobs.

With the current economic situation you are advised to give yourself the very best chance of success.

We have put together some links to tools that we think would be beneficial to use as part of your application in your search for a job overseas.The way you present yourself is essential to success, these tools are designed to help you achieve the best results and help your application to stand out from the crowd.

We often get emails that are articulate, well presented and would encourage an employer to consider learning more about the applicant. But for every good application there are unfortunately many more that we would not consider to be done properly, with any real effort, they would definitely not stand out from the crowd. A realistic estimate from applications that we receive every week at Osrec would be that 10% of all applicants look very good in their presentation and would be considered for to be shortlisted, even if they haven't got exactly the skills or experience, we would try to find them something else suitable BUT this also tells you that around 90% would not. That's 90% of applicants that apply to Osrec on the first contact would not be considered for the jobs advertised because their application isn't up to the standard we would want to present to our clients. Think about this for a minute... their effort, spelling, presentation, lack of knowledge perhaps (note that i didn't say lack of skills or ability) would prevent them being shortlisted for the vacancies we have available from our clients.

I imagine that these applications are done by people who may think that one day they might get lucky and fate will grant them an opportunity, but that's not the way life works for many people and i would encourage you not to hope that luck finds you, but instead to make or create your own luck and make every effort to stand out from the crowd.

The good news is that if you can become one of the 5% very easily by spending a little time, effort, application and forethought into the way you present yourself to employers. It isn't rocket science, but tools are there that can help you which we have highlighted below.

Despite the current economic situation around the world, we still have a lot of interest in our Recruitment services.
